GreenBarn originated a $112.5MM floating-rate loan to the Kushner Companies to finance the redevelopment of the retail component of the existing Monmouth Mall, repositioning it as Monmouth Square, in Eatontown New Jersey. The plan is a multi-phase redevelopment to reposition the current 1.5MM square foot Monmouth Mall to a live, work, play mixed-use asset which includes demolishing roughly 500,000 square feet of the existing enclosed mall.  At completion, the project will encompass 1,907,000 gross square feet, featuring 1,000 multifamily units and a 990,121 square foot lifestyle grocery anchored retail shopping center, with long-term leases signed with major tenants including Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble. The project will also include a 40,000 square foot amenity center with extensive facilities and an outdoor pedestrian plaza.
