In April 2025, GreenBarn and partners acquired a portion of a defaulted senior note on the 405,000 SF building at 1625 Eye St NW in Washington, DC. In July, the venture subsequently foreclosed on the asset and, in tandem with the foreclosure, worked out a deal in which it injected fresh capital and paid down a portion of the previous loan with the remaining lenders in the syndicate providing new debt. 1625 Eye St NW is a Trophy/Class-A office building located two blocks north of the White House with direct views of the Washington Monument and is leased to a roster of institutional tenants.
